You join Wavestone’s Supply Chain practice in Paris, supervised by an experienced project manager. The topic is how AI is used in planning: demand forecasting, inventory management, transport.
Your internship has two parts. On one side, an in-depth study with a market review, an AI agent prototype and an analysis of forecasts for collection launches in Retail and Luxury. On the other, work on client assignments to discover what consultants do.
You also write an in-depth article and help share the results on the firm’s channels.
What you'll do
- Map the market: identify software vendors and/or clients that have built artificial intelligence into their planning processes, backed by in-depth desk research on existing use cases.
- Design and send a questionnaire to vendors to assess the maturity, relevance and specific features of their AI solutions.
- Update the internal technology radar: refresh the materials (short profile of each vendor, position on the radar, etc.).
- Define and prototype an AI agent for a specific use case: scoping the need, identifying information sources, building the prototype and assessing the results.
- Dig deeper into forecasting for collection launches in Retail and Luxury: analyze what is specific to new products, identify usable data and compare relevant methods.
- Finalize the deliverables: updated benchmark, AI agent prototype, analysis of collection launches and recommendations on prerequisites, limits and key success factors.
- Write an in-depth article on the use of artificial intelligence in planning processes, based on the analyses carried out and the feedback gathered.
- Define an external publishing strategy to showcase the radar, the use cases and the article, together with the firm’s communication and marketing teams.
- Share and promote these deliverables externally (social media, blogs, newsletters, etc.) to increase Wavestone’s visibility on these innovation topics.
Who they're looking for
- You are a student at a top engineering school, management school or leading university; you are drawn to consulting and have a strong interest in digital transformation at companies that lead their sector.
- You want to build consulting skills and work on organizational transformation issues.
