Terms of Service

Last updated: May 4, 2026

These terms set out the rules between you and Edu Swap. They're written in plain language because legalese is exhausting and most disputes come down to a handful of common-sense expectations.

By using Edu Swap, you agree to these terms

Creating an account, posting a survey, answering one, or simply browsing the logged-in pages all count as accepting these terms and the Privacy Policy linked from the footer. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Who can use Edu Swap

Edu Swap is intended for university students (Bachelor's level and above) studying in Morocco or studying Moroccan topics. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account; if you're between 13 and 18, you should review these terms with a parent or guardian.

Your account

  • One account per person. Multiple accounts run by the same individual aren't allowed and will be merged or banned at admin discretion.
  • Real information. Your name, university, field, and academic year should match reality. We don't ask for proof at signup, but materially false profiles are grounds for suspension.
  • You're responsible for your account. Don't share your password, don't let other people post or answer surveys from your account, and tell us if you suspect it's been compromised.
  • Email verification is required. You won't be able to post or answer surveys until you click the verification link we send you on signup.

About credits

Credits are an in-platform unit of account that exists only to balance the survey-exchange loop. One credit = one response on a survey you posted. You earn one credit by answering someone else's survey (subject to validation) and you spend one credit each time someone answers yours.

Credits have no monetary value. You cannot buy them, sell them, transfer them to another user, or convert them to cash. The platform reserves the right to grant, deduct, or freeze credits to keep the economy fair (e.g., reversing credits awarded on a fraudulent response).

If your account is closed (by you or by us), any remaining credits are forfeited. They are not refundable and not transferable.

Acceptable use

Edu Swap works because everyone shows up in good faith. The following are explicitly prohibited:

  • Fake or rushed responses — clicking through someone's survey without reading, picking random answers, or using automation to fill forms.
  • Spam surveys — surveys whose real purpose is recruitment, lead generation, MLM pitches, or anything outside genuine research.
  • Phishing or off-platform extraction — using your survey to ask for passwords, financial details, government IDs, or to redirect users to off-brand pages.
  • Harassment — content that targets, demeans, or threatens any individual or group on grounds of identity, religion, gender, ethnicity, or political opinion.
  • Illegal content — anything illegal under Moroccan law, including content infringing intellectual property rights, pornographic material, or material promoting violence.
  • Platform abuse — automated scraping, attempts to manipulate the credit economy, exploiting bugs without disclosing them, or any action whose purpose is to break the system.

We act on reports quickly. Confirmed violations result in suspension or permanent ban at admin discretion. Repeated minor issues are treated the same as a single major one.

The content you post

You keep ownership of every survey you create and every response you submit. By posting, you grant Edu Swap a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and operate that content as part of running the platform — strictly limited to what's needed to make the service work. We never sell your content, never use it for advertising, and never share it with third parties beyond the sub-processors listed in the Privacy Policy.

External form platforms

Surveys on Edu Swap are hosted on third-party form services (Google Forms, Lovable). Your relationship with those platforms is governed by their own terms — Edu Swap acts as a directory and validation layer, not as the form host. We're not responsible for outages, data loss, or policy decisions made by those platforms. The validation code system protects against rushed responses but doesn't replace your responsibility to read your form provider's terms.

Communications and emails

Edu Swap sends you two kinds of emails. Transactional emails — verification on signup, password resets, deadline reminders for surveys you posted, important account-status changes — are part of running the service. We need to send these for the platform to work, and you cannot opt out of them while you have an active account.

Product-update emails are occasional, infrequent (typically less than once a month) messages about new features, milestones, or changes that materially affect how you use Edu Swap. By creating an account you accept that we may send these. Every product-update email includes a one-click unsubscribe link; clicking it removes you from product-update emails immediately and permanently. We never sell or share your email address with third parties, and we never send marketing for products other than Edu Swap.

Moderation

Admins can force-close surveys, suspend or ban accounts, retroactively approve or reject flagged responses, and adjust credit balances when there's evidence of fraud or breach of these terms. We notify you in-app whenever such an action affects your account, with a brief reason. If you think a decision was wrong, reply to that notification or email contact@edu-swap.com.

No warranty

Edu Swap is provided as-is. We don't guarantee the platform will be available 24/7, that every survey will hit its target, or that every response will pass validation. We make our best effort, but the service is offered without any explicit or implicit warranty of fitness, availability, or completeness.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Edu Swap and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to: loss of survey data hosted on third-party form platforms, missed academic deadlines, or decisions you make based on response data collected via the platform. Direct damages, if any, are limited to the credits in your account at the time of the dispute.

Termination

You can close your account at any time by emailing contact@edu-swap.com. We can close or suspend your account if you breach these terms; we'll explain why in the notification. On closure, your active surveys are cancelled, your remaining credits are forfeited, and your personal data is handled per the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms over time. We'll bump the "last updated" date and, for material changes, send all active users a notification email or in-app banner so you have a chance to review before continuing to use the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Moroccan law. Any dispute that can't be resolved by good-faith email exchange will be brought before the competent courts of Rabat, Morocco.
