Final-Year or Gap-Year Internship (6 months) – Corporate Finance M&A Analyst – Early 2027 (M/F)

Job description

You join Forvis Mazars’ M&A department in Levallois-Perret. This 20-strong team in France focuses on the small and mid-cap segment, advising SMEs, investment funds and large French and international groups.

After training in the team’s methods and tools, you follow deals from start to finish: origination, financial analysis, valuation, then execution through to closing. You work directly with clients, investors, bankers and lawyers, and sometimes with Forvis Mazars offices abroad.

The internship lasts six months and starts in early 2027. It is open to final-year students and students on a gap year.

What you'll do

• Origination: screening buyers, investors and targets, and carrying out sector studies
• Origination: preparing pitches and other advisory proposals
• Origination: financial and strategic analysis
• Origination: financial valuation (DCF, trading and transaction multiples)
• Origination: helping structure financing arrangements
• Deal execution: supporting day-to-day follow-up (contacts, client meetings, etc.)
• Deal execution: drafting information memorandums and other process documents
• Deal execution: performing financial analysis and valuation
• Deal execution: managing the data room and Q&A
• Deal execution: helping follow transactions and negotiations through to closing

Who they're looking for

• Student at a leading business or engineering school, specialising in finance
• At least one related internship is required: M&A boutique, investment bank, corporate M&A team or private equity
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• Team spirit and initiative
• Able to work effectively in a team, collaborate with others and help build a positive workplace
• Rigour is essential for this role
• Interest in the economic and financial world, especially mergers and acquisitions, is a plus
• Six-month final-year or gap-year internship
